What’s PROCON?
PROCON holiday courses are designed to accelerate into new HSC material, to give you a flying head start to Term 4. Keeping up with the course will ensure your foundation is solid while getting you comfortable on topics ahead. Project Academy’s overarching aim is for all its students to achieve a high Band 6 in all subjects in the HSC. PROCON is the very first element of this plan.
What You’ll Be Learning
Students learn about Module 6 (Electromagnetism) and the fundamental concepts leading up to the operation of simple motors, including
- The motion of charged particles in magnetic fields
- Forces produced by currents in magnetic fields
- Electromagnetic induction and the interplay between electric and magnetic fields
- Applications of the motor effect to DC motors
