”Project was really beneficial for me when I was doing year 12. Not only were the resources super in-depth and comprehensive, but I always felt supported by the both the tutors and other students! Studying became much less frustrating, knowing that I could always message my teacher questions or book into extra tutes whenever I wanted. The LEAP program was also super useful and really helped me to feel prepared when I walked into the actual HSC! Project definitely helped to improve my marks, but it also improved my overall attitude towards the HSC.”

Motivation When It Mattered Most

“The staff and campus of Project was what really motivated me study for the HSC in the last few months before exams when I began to lose motivation to study. The sight of students around me constantly working hard to grasp difficult concepts and grind questions helped me realise that studying for the exams was not such an isolating experience as I had initially found it to be and encouraged me to reach out and ask for help from the tutors around, who willingly assisted with any questions I had despite them being on break. This commitment to helping us achieve highly helped give me a final burst of motivation before our final exams. Although I wasn’t a student in time to experience the regular classes and tutes, the LEAP exams truly helped me overcome exam stress and the quick turnarounds for marking allowed me to efficiently identify and amend any weak areas I had. To me, Project felt like a well oiled machine that was designed to help students improve without the stressful isolation commonly associated with studying, which was truly just what I needed before my exams.”

Never Facing the HSC Alone

“My experience at project really changed my attitude about the HSC! It was a really friendly and helpful place that made me realise I didn't have to tackle HSC by myself, instead I had tutors who would support me for whatever problems i came across. the study environment (eg grasslands) also really helped with my study focus and made sure I remembered that I'm not facing my looming exam blocks alone :) studying became less of a 'chore' I guess when I knew that so many people have got my back”

Foundations Beyond the HSC

“To me, one of the best things about Project Academy was how the tutoring I received not only improved my marks on a surface level, but laid down foundations that allowed me to confidently grasp concepts I had previously struggled with in depth, giving me skills that lasted right past my final HSC exams and into university. “Before I stepped into Project, tutoring was daunting, like a flight to a new, obscure but fascinating country. However, I was immediately surprised by the community. During my first few visits, it became clear that the tutors cared about not just my education, but also me as a person. Tutors would willingly stay back to help me understand concepts, develop study strategies or even just for general advice about my future. Studying no longer felt like a burden and I even found myself going to think tanks late with a smile on my face. My success was a team effort. That was the heart of Project to me.”

From Newcomer to Community

“For me, I knew no one when I joined Project, since my school is quite far from Chatswood, however, Project always had a welcoming environment. As I progressed through various courses at project I began to become part of the community. This allowed me to make new friends whilst also studying for my HSC. Project enabled continuous group study environments, something I struggled to find anywhere else. A key moment in my Project journey was joining the integration bee and being the first one to get knocked out. Additionally, project enabled me to create a schedule. If i wanted to study I would use grasslands, and if I wanted to take a break I would be at home. It separated my school and personal life allowing me to maintain balance throughout my HSC journey. Ultimately project guided me through my HSC journey, enabling me to enjoy my hobbies whilst also focusing on my academic career.”

Marks Above 90% With Support

“I have attended Year 11 Maths Advanced PROCON, Math Accel (Yr 11) and HSC 3U Maths at Project Academy and the environment + staff are really great. Ops/Admin staff and the tutors are all really nice and help to make class and tutorials productive. Project has cosy study spaces and great snacks to keep students motivated too. They have helped to bring my math marks up to above 90%”

“As an excelling North Sydney Boys Year 11 student who’s only been at Project for a few terms, I can confidently say it’s on a different level—nothing like I’ve experienced before. The tutors are some of the smartest people I’ve met—insanely talented, but also incredibly real and supportive. Unlike school, which often feels rigid and pointless, Project is tailored to you—your goals, your pace, your learning style.
